Alex was born and raised in Rockford, IL and earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Bradley University in IL. After many cold winters, she decided to pursue her higher education in Los Angeles, CA. While completing her MSW at USC, Alex continued to fuel her passion with formative internships as a trauma therapist at the Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center and a Jails Project intern at the ACLU of Southern California. Alex is inspired and motivated by the resilience and individuality she witnesses as people heal and create the lives they desire.
Alex has always had a passion for working with youth who have experienced trauma and is both thankful and excited to grow as a therapist on the empowering Mending Matters team. One of Alex’s main passions is bringing energy and passion to her work to create a safe place for each person to feel heard.
After work, you can find Alex catching a sunset, hiking, FaceTiming family, trying to keep her plants alive and playing with her puppy, Simba.
