Ashley Rober

 

Ashley was born in Boston and raised throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Texas. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Bridgewater State University in MA while completing an Honors Thesis on cognitive deficits in Parkinson’s disease dementia based on her research at Boston University’s Vision and Cognition Laboratory. Ashley then went on to work as a research assistant in neuropsychiatry studying schizophrenia at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Ashley moved to San Diego to pursue a masters degree in social work with a focus on mental health in 2016. Ashley’s professional experience includes providing school-based mental health services to high school students and providing individual and group therapy to adults in a crisis center. Ashley is excited to be assisting high school students overcome life challenges again through her work at Mending Matters.

When not engaging with youth, Ashley enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her “muppet” dog, traveling, getting creative, and horseback riding. She is currently working towards obtaining licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
