A San Diego native, Karla has lived in a diverse community her entire life. Respect and open-mindedness have been traits that she prioritizes and understands that they are needed in order to create a meaningful relationship. Karla has worked with families, and children that come from different cultural backgrounds for over 10 years.


Karla obtained her Master’s in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University. Her passion is for everyone she encounters with to feel that their voice is being heard. She is excited to work with youth to prioritize their concerns and celebrate their everyday victories.  Her dream is to break down the barriers between socio-econonic status and mental health. Her passion is to normalize therapy for everyone and to turn it into a beautiful and meaningful experience.
