Mardene Esparza is a native San Diegan. In 2011 she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from San Diego State University. She then completed her Masters in Social Work from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2013. Mardene’s previous experience includes providing social work services at various schools throughout San Diego county, case management services to kinship and military families, providing individual and family therapy, and facilitating various clinical support groups for adolescents to address topics such as self-esteem and trauma.

Aside from social work, Mardene is obsessed with traveling, enjoys spending time with her family, and loves playing with her dog, Luna. Mardene is honored to become apart of the Mending Matters agency and is looking forward to providing support to students in order for them to reach their fullest potential.
