Amanda grew up on Long Island, NY, spending summers at the beach with her family and cooking for friends. Amanda moved to San Diego in 2017 and continues to enjoy learning and immersing into the culture on the West Coast. Amanda attended CUNY Queens College and graduated in 2014 with a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology. Shortly after Amanda attended Stony Brook University and completed her Masters in Social Work in 2016. Throughout her work as a social worker, Amanda has worked with youth in a variety of settings including, group homes, school based programs and outpatient preventative. Amanda has focused a lot of her social work career on trauma informed care, restorative justice and empowering youth. Amanda believes in the power of positive and supportive relationships as it relates to school based mental health services.

Throughout her time with Mending Matters, Amanda has enjoyed building relationships on school campuses and providing accessible mental health services.

Aside from her love and passion as a social worker, Amanda enjoys spending time with her dogs, working out, relaxing at the beach and exploring new places.
