Amanda grew up on Long Island, NY, spending summers at the beach with her family and cooking for friends. Amanda recently moved to California and she is excited to learn about life on the West Coast.

Amanda attended CUNY Queens College and graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. Shortly after Amanda attended Stony Brook University and completed her Masters in Social Work in 2016. Amanda has been working with youth for the last 3 years in a variety of settings including, group homes, school based programs and outpatient preventative. Amanda has focused a lot of her social work career on trauma informed care and empowering youth.

Aside from her love of social work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, family and dog Sailor. Amanda’s goals include learning more about becoming a spin class instructor, continuing to empower youth and exploring all of California!
