Andrea was born and raised in San Diego where she worked in Early Childhood Development for 10 years. Andrea decided to return to school and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling & Social Change and then continued on to graduate with a Master’s in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University. She has experience working with adolescents in school-based settings, juvenile hall, and non-profit organizations. Andrea is passionate about creating a safe space to collaborate with youth and support their advocacy and empowerment through trauma-informed care. Andrea is excited to be part of the Mending Matters team and continuing to support youth in reaching their goals for success.

In her free time, Andrea can be found adventuring with her family, loving on her two boxer pups, hiking, and jet skiing in the sunshine.
