Angel-Lynna Tran,

Mental Health Therapist

Born and raised in Northern California, Angel-Lynna would often spend her summers in sunny San Diego to visit her dad. When she had the opportunity to move out of her hometown for college, she packed up her bags and headed for San Diego! She graduated from San Diego State University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Counseling and Social Change. During her undergraduate career, Angel-Lynna had the opportunity to work with a diverse population of high school students and helped them achieve their dream of attending college. From completing their A-G requirements to submitting their college applications and financial aid, it was rewarding being able to make college possible for these students. With that experience, Angel-Lynna knew that she wanted to pursue a career in counseling.

Angel-Lynna again attended San Diego State University (#aztecsforlife) and obtained her Master’s in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. During her second year of grad school, Angel-Lynna had the amazing opportunity to complete her traineeship at Monte Vista High School where she got to work closely with students and their families. That experience led her to where she is now.

Angel-Lynna knew she was exactly where she needed to be when joining the Mending Matters team. She is looking forward to connecting with students and creating a safe space where students can be themselves.

Outside of work you can find Angel-Lynna taking a nap with her rescue dog, Koda.
