Brandon is local to Southern California, having grown up in Orange County and Riverside. He went to the University of California, Santa Barbara to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. During his time there, he worked in the Social Perceptions Lab and assisted in several studies about social psychology.
After UC Santa Barbara, Brandon went to earn his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles and Irvine. Brandon is currently an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who has experience working with teens struggling with anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. As a school based therapist with Mending Matters, Brandon places his students at the center of care. Brandon uses his Asian American identity to connect with students, as well as explore the unique differences each student has with their cultural identity and familial values.
When not practicing therapy, Brandon can be found exploring San Diego’s food scene, finding fun day trips in southern CA, trying new boba spots, photographing unique spots, and riding a bike or skating along the beach.
