Dani hails from our nation’s capital Washington DC. In 2013 Dani received her Bachelors in English Literature from Longwood University in Virginia and transitioned to Austin, Texas to work as a special education paraprofessional for at-potential youth within Austin Independent School District. During Dani’s time as an educator, Dani realized the need for trauma-informed children’s mental health care and her desire to be an integral part of providing mental health support. She then moved to San Diego, CA in 2018 and obtained her Masters in Clinical Counseling with a concentration in multicultural community counseling at San Diego State University in 2020. Since receiving her Masters, Dani has worked with CSEC youth, transitional-age youth and youth living in the foster system.

People describe Dani as brave, creative, empathetic, intelligent, wise and funny. When not working Dani enjoys traveling, listening to live music, discovering new restaurants and creating written and visual art.
