Joey grew up in Orange County, California. He moved to San Diego to complete his bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology. After taking some time off to pursue a career in non-profit fundraising, Joey decided to get back into the mental health field. He attended San Jose State University and earned his master’s degree in social work. Joey has experience working with school-aged youth and approaches working with students through a client-centered perspective.

Joey enjoys spending his free time traveling, cooking, exercising and hanging out with family & friends. Joey is thrilled to be a part of the Mending Matters team. He looks forward to working with students and supporting them in achieving their goals.
