Jordan was born and raised in San Jose, California and is proud to be from the Bay Area! After high school, Jordan received her AA in Behavioral Health, Liberal Arts, and Sociology from West Valley Community College in Saratoga, CA. She then transferred to receive her Bachelors in Social Work from Azusa Pacific University, and graduated with honors in 2019. During her undergraduate program, she interned at McKinley Children’s Center as a Foster Care / Adoption intern and absolutely loved it.
After graduating from APU, Jordan received her Masters in Social Work through the Advanced Standing program at California State University, Long Beach. This was an expedited program of only 10 months, and all virtual due to Covid-19. She graduated in May 2021, while holding a 4.0 throughout her whole school year. Her internship during her MSW program was at Garden Grove Unified School District as a School Social Work Intern for Junior High and Elementary School students. This internship position is what helped her find her passion for working with school aged students, eventually leading towards her career with Mending Matters!
Outside of work, Jordan enjoys going to the beach, being with loved ones, watching The Office over and over again, and playing with her dog Charlie. She is so excited to be a part of this wonderful team at Mending Matters! Jordan always says that the reason she became a social worker was “to be somebody I needed when I was younger.” She hopes this quote is shown through the work she does with the youth she serves.
