Mental Health Therapist

Karen is a San Diego Native where she received her Bachelors of Social Work from San Diego State University. After graduation, Karen worked at an elementary school in Chula Vista where she saw first hand the power of positive relationships in aiding children to develop the confidence and resilience needed to be successful. While there she found motivation to expand her skill set and pursued her Master’s Degree in Social Work where she interned with HEREnow and GUHSD. While at HEREnow she experienced working with the middle and high school populations and spread suicide and mental health awareness. Karen is passionate about serving youth, especially after seeing how many students were silently fighting their own mental health battles. Karen feels blessed to continue her work in serving youth and support their growth and development.

During her free time, she enjoys practicing mindfulness, hanging out with loved ones and listening to podcasts and audiobooks that teach her about growth and healing.
