Mental Health Therapist

Kaylee was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and received her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, where she studied Spanish and the environment. After spending a couple of years in Chicago working in sales and marketing, Kaylee decided to pursue her passion for mental health. Kaylee attended Tulane University, where she obtained her Master of Social Work. During her master’s program, Kaylee interned as a child therapist working with children who have experienced trauma. Kaylee also completed a research project focused on successfully implementing restorative/trauma-informed approaches within schools. After obtaining her Master’s, Kaylee worked as a medical/hospice social worker in New Orleans for a couple of years. While Kaylee fell in love with the unique and wonderful culture of New Orleans, she recently decided to move to San Diego to be closer to family and pursue her dream of working as a school therapist.

During her free time, Kaylee is often going out to eat, working out, spending time with friends or family or reading.

Kaylee is very passionate about working with youth and is very excited to be a part of the Mending Matters team!
