Mental Health Therapist

Megan grew up in Southern California and has called San Diego home for the past several years. With a love for helping people and a goal to support youth and families, Megan earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Diego State University with a specialization in children and families. While working in schools and with youth from all ages and backgrounds she developed insight and witnessed the amazing resilience and growth that can come from supportive mental health services. Her background includes working with youth in schools and in foster care. Megan is also a trained crisis counselor and spends time volunteering for Crisis Text Line to support those in need of accessible crisis support. Whether advocating for others or providing one-on-one counseling, Megan believes that youth deserve to be seen, heard, and supported which is why she is so grateful to be a part of the amazing Mending Matters team.

On her days off, you’ll most likely find Megan on her surfboard enjoying the beautiful ocean and waves that San Diego has to offer or exploring a new hiking/camping spot. Megan fills her cup by practicing mindfulness, listening to music, spending time with friends and family, and hiking with her rescue pup.
