Midory Ibanez,
  • ASW

Mental Health Therapist

Midory was born in Oaxaca, Mexico and grew up in San Diego for the majority of her life. She attended The University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) for her undergraduate studies, where she was involved with organizations that advocated for survivors of interpersonal violence. The advocacy work she participated in motivated her to seek a higher education to further her knowledge and broaden her clinical experience to help those in need. She then graduated from California State University, San Marcos (CSUSM) with her master’s degree in social work. Midory has worked with many populations including those with special needs, severe mental illness, trauma, substance abuse, and the homeless population. In her spare time, Midory enjoys going on hikes, visiting plant nurseries, and gardening. She looks forward to helping adolescents on their mental health journey and is excited to begin working with Mending Matters.
