Mental Health Therapist

Omar was born and raised in Southern California and attended California State University San Marcos for undergraduate and graduate school, leading to the start of his career in Social Work. Omar has worked in a variety of mental health settings with both youth and adults, including several years in a Residential Treatment Program with foster youth, filling a variety of roles in that setting. Ultimately, he always wanted his career to take him towards a role as a School Social Worker, leading him to obtain a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from San Jose State University after getting his Master’s degree in Social Work. Over the years, Omar has remained strong in his passion to work with youth, hoping to create positive experiences and a supportive environment for students with social and emotional needs. He believes in working with the student, meeting them where they are, and taking an integrative and trauma-informed approach.

Outside of work, Omar enjoys listening to music, being outside, and cooking. He also spends free time with his family and his dog, playing sports and traveling when he can.
