Regional Lead & Mental Health Therapist
Rachel Ruiz is a social worker by trade and a poet by nature. As a Northern California transplant to San Diego, Rachel believes you should never have to choose between the beach and mountains – you can have both!
Rachel received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Literature from UC San Diego. She graduated with her Master’s in Social Work in 2016 with an emphasis on Administration and Community Development. Rachel has worked in administration and direct service in the areas of domestic violence, school settings, foster care, and service to the homeless. In addition to working as a mental health clinician, Rachel teaches a youth civic engagement program in her neighborhood of Linda Vista.
Rachel enjoys writing, watching documentaries about food (while eating of course), hiking, and walking her dog Moji.
