Mental Health Therapist
Stephanie was born and raised in San Diego, California. She grew up lifeguarding and swim instructing in her community, and spent time volunteering in various elementary and middle school classrooms in San Diego. Stephanie has always had a passion and love for helping others and has pursued this passion in all facets of her life. She received her B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and went on to obtain the certifications to allow her to substitute teach. Despite her love and appreciation for the teaching profession, Stephanie decided to change directions toward social work. She received her Masters of Social Work- specializing in children, youth, and families, as well as her PPSC (Pupil Personnel Services Credential) from the University of Southern California (USC).
Stephanie is excited to be a part of the Mending Matters team where she can combine both her passion for social work and education. She approaches social work with a trauma informed lens and cultural humility. Stephanie is passionate about providing youth and families with the support and resources needed to aid success.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, writing poetry, and traveling.
