Operations & Program Manager

Originally from Singapore, Vanessa is an avid traveler and has lived and worked in cities in Southeast Asia and the East Coast before relocating to San Diego, California. She loves emerging herself in different cultures and experiencing the local ways of living in various cities around the world. During her time at University at Buffalo pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she was a teaching assistant in elementary schools and had the privilege of working with a diversified population of young children and their families. Vanessa also spent time in Taiwan teaching English as a second language to elementary and middle school children. Recognizing how much culture influences an individual’s upbringing and lived experiences, she sought to explore how it molds an individual’s perspective and methods of interpersonal communication.

Vanessa graduated with a Master’s in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University and continues to work with adolescents and their families. She enjoys crime series, cooking, and spending time with her dog.
