Mental Health Therapist

Carinna was born and raised in San Luis Obispo County, CA, and earned her B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development with a minor in Psychology from San José State University, where her passion for supporting youth and families began to take shape. After graduating, she worked as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist, supporting foster youth through moments of hardship and healing, and witnessing the impact of showing up with compassion and consistency.

Determined to further her impact, Carinna pursued her Master’s in Social Work through San José State University’s online program, along with her Pupil Personnel Services Credential. During her graduate studies, she gravitated toward school social work, drawn to the idea that schools are not just places of learning, they’re spaces where belonging, identity, and resilience can flourish. Now living in San Diego, a place she proudly calls home, Carinna is passionate about walking alongside students as they navigate life’s challenges, discover their strengths, and grow their confidence.

Outside of work, Carinna enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, hosting game nights, and spending time with loved ones.
