Miguel Hernandez

MSW Intern

Miguel grew up in the Sacramento area and was often involved in Scouting, which built on his interest in helping others and a love for the outdoors. Miguel earned his Bachelor’s in Social Work at Sacramento State in 2016 and has primarily worked with adolescents and transition age youth (16-25) in a variety of settings. After working in a Short-Term Residential Treatment Program for a couple of years, Miguel recently moved to San Diego to pursue his Master’s in Social Work at San Diego State University with a concentration in Community Development and Administration. During his free time, Miguel enjoys reading, archery, and hiking. Miguel is excited to be part of Mending Matter’s first Admin/Community Development MSW Intern program, and hopes to be able to support Mending Matters as it grows.
