Growing up in a small Midwestern town, connecting with others was ingrained in Haley’s family culture. Haley’s interest in helping others build and nurture these connections led her to attend Southern Illinois University where she studied psychology and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in 2014. To continue growing and absorbing knowledge, Haleyattended the University of Missouri where she received her master’s degree in social work in 2017. While in her master’s program, Haley worked with foster youth and families to help build meaningful relationships between youth and their foster parents. After graduation, Haley spent the next year working alongside a team of social workers to develop a grant-funded behavioral health program at the Boys & Girls Club of Columbia. Through this program, Haley was able to help youth develop and expand on social-emotional skills to help them reach their full potential.
