Alyssa Horman is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a lifelong passion for mental health and supporting the emotional well-being of youth. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Biology, and Women’s Studies from San Diego State University, and went on to complete her Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy at Alliant International University- San Diego.
Alyssa is especially passionate about working with adolescents in school-based settings and believes in the importance of meeting students where they are. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and affirming space where young people feel heard, understood, and empowered to build on their strengths.
In her work, Alyssa takes a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and collaborative approach, partnering with students to support resilience, growth, and emotional well-being. She values authentic connection and strives to foster a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and compassion.
Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys spending time outdoors, running, and engaging in various crafts. She also values quality time with family and friends, which helps her stay balanced and connected.
