Mental Health Therapist

Andrea was born in Mexico and grew up primarily in Goleta, California. She received her B.A. in Linguistics from UC Berkeley and her MSW from San Diego State University. She is a DACA recipient and is passionate about working with immigrant, refugee, and other forcibly displaced communities. She currently serves as a Community Advisory Board member at the Center for Adjustment, Resilience & Recovery (CARRE), which bridges mental health and refugee service providers. Andrea completed her first MSW internship at Mending Matters, and is excited to be part of the team again as a Mental Health Therapist. She feels fortunate to work with youth in such a meaningful way by witnessing their personal growth and empowerment. In her free time, she enjoys going on morning walks, sharing memes, and trying new coffee shops.
