Mental Health Therapist
Emily is a New Jersey native who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art and Psychology before completing a Master of Arts in Teaching. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, she spent many years supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which deepened her commitment to advocacy and inclusive care. While teaching middle school art, Emily began to see the larger role mental health plays in student success and the need for stronger advocacy in schools. This realization became a passion project for her and inspired her to return to graduate school to pursue a second Master’s degree in School-Based Clinical Counseling at the University of San Diego. She now holds her Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling and is a registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, allowing her to bridge both school-based and clinical counseling settings.
Emily is passionate about the intersection of creativity, emotional wellness, and resilience. She grounds her practice in trauma-informed, mindfulness-based, and strengths-focused approaches that empower students and families, normalize mental health, and promote holistic well-being. Her goal is to continue bridging the gap between schools and mental health supports so that young people feel seen, heard, and equipped to thrive.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys connecting with friends and family, traveling, playing tennis, exploring new foods, and diving into her many creative hobbies.
