Lizbeth Castro

BSW Intern

Lizbeth was born and raised in San Diego where she is currently attending San Diego State University to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. She is a first-generation Latinx college student who also plans on obtaining her Master’s degree and using it to give back to her community. Lizbeth is bilingual in Spanish and English. She wants to learn as much as she can so that she can utilize her skills to also spread mental health awareness to the Latinx community. For as long as she can remember, Lizbeth has always wanted to work in a school setting. She is passionate about mental health and is excited to advocate for youth. Lizbeth is grateful to intern at Mending Matters and join them in normalizing mental health.

In her free time, Lizbeth enjoys spending time with her family and friends, binge-watching shows on Netflix, traveling, and adding items to her Amazon cart.
