Luz Hernandez
MSW Intern
Luz Hernandez is a first generation, Mexican-American College graduate. She was born and raised in Oceanside and has been involved in her church, local soccer club and schools growing up. She attended community college and received her Associates degree before transferring to California State University, San Marcos where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in youth, children and families. She is currently studying at San Diego State University to obtain her Masters degree in Social Work. Growing up in a community with a lot of cultural diversity, she believes it is important to remember that everyone has something that makes them special and a little different from the world.
She loves the beach, camping, road trips and just enjoying the sun with her family and dog. She is excited to start her time as an intern with Mending Matters and is ready for the journey of learning that is to come.
