Program Manager/Clinical Supervisor

Sandra was born and raised in Southern California, growing up in the small town of El Centro, CA. She went to UC San Diego for undergrad where she found a passion for mentorship, advocacy, and counseling. This led her to the Social Work program at San Diego State University where she obtained her masters. While obtaining her MSW she developed a passion for school based work and earned her PPSC to become a School Social Worker.

As a first generation Mexican-American college graduate, and after working in schools for the past 12 years, Sandra developed a passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices and has actively pursued embedding them into every facet of her work. After informally mentoring for years, she is now supervising other social workers to help empower them as advocates for youth.

Outside of work, Sandra enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing and reading.
