Youth Ambassadors

The Youth Ambassadors are high school seniors who provide insight and feedback on what we do at Mending Matters. The Ambassadors are passionate about making schools a welcoming place for their peers to access emotional support.

Patrick Gradert

“Yo, I’m Patrick. I like going out with friends or just staying home. After high school, I’ll be going into the Carpenter’s Union. I’ll be an apprentice for four years, then I’ll graduate.”

Victoria Reyes

“I’m Victoria, and a senior at Grossmont High School. I’m involved in dance and have been for the past three years. Some things I’m passionate about is reading, dancing, my family, and being able to help people in any way. I joined Mending Matters this past year and I love it! Mending Matters has helped me so much in being able to open up more and be more comfortable in who I am. Also Mending Matters has many amazing therapists and without them, Mending Matters wouldn’t be what it is now!”

Olivia Disabatino

“I’m Olivia, a senior at West Hills High School. I formed ‘Growing Minds,’ the first mental health awareness club at my school campus. I believe advocating for mental health assistance and providing a safe campus for students to feel comfortable enough to seek help. I’m a part of Mending Matters to ensure students get adequate support. I will also be majoring in psychology, ensuring that my life is dedicated to providing mental illness assistance.”
